PPIE / Model Limitations

Transparent limitations strengthen—not weaken—decision quality.

Where data, assumptions, models and human judgement can fail, and the controls PlusPoint uses to keep uncertainty visible throughout the decision.

01

Data limitations

Timeliness, gaps, survivorship, comparability and source restrictions.

02

Model limitations

Simplification, parameter uncertainty, non-linearity and false precision.

03

Behavioural limits

Overconfidence, anchoring, confirmation bias and incentive conflicts.

04

Control response

Independent challenge, scenarios, sensitivities, decision logs and monitoring.

User responsibility

Decisions informed by PPIE remain context-specific. They require professional and legal judgement alongside PlusPoint's analysis, and clients should seek their own independent advice before acting.

What we maintain

Role boundary

PPIE cannot eliminate uncertainty, guarantee returns, or replace specialist legal, tax or regulatory advice. It is decision support, applied by experienced judgement — not a substitute for it.
